 Long Coc Viewpoints/Đồi Chè Long Cốc​ 

The famous sunrise viewpoint can be found on Google Maps as Đồi Chè Long Cốc. This is where most of the iconic images were taken. The best area to set up a tripod is somewhat small, so it's best to arrive well before sunrise, particularly on weekends.

The Muong People 

Ninety percent of the commune's population is from the Muong (Mường ) ethnic group. The Muong are Vietnam's third-largest ethnic group and speak a unique language similar to Vietnamese and a part of the same Austroasiatic language group.

Travel in Long Coc

The tea hills are spread out over a fairly large area. Access from the main roads is by steep, narrow, unpaved trails. The only practical way to tour the area is by motorbike. Unless you are an experienced trail rider, a motorbike taxi (easy rider, xe ôm) could be a safer option.

Travel to Long Coc

The only way to reach Long Coc is by road, and it takes approximately two hours and forty-five minutes by car or motorbike.

To reach the Long Coc tea hills by public transportation, there is at least one local-style minibus that departs from Hanoi's My Dinh bus station at 11:30 every morning.

The name of the bus company is Nhà xe Việt Hùng, phone 038 400 4448.

This bus does not travel the most direct route to Long Coc. The journey can take up to four hours.
